Fiona StandenLCSW
Fiona is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is known for her empathic, supportive approach to care. She has three distinct specialties: (1) Helping children (and families) with autistic spectrum conditions; (2) Counseling people who have experienced either childhood or adult trauma; and, (3) Providing support for individuals and family members living with chronic medical conditions such as multiple sclerosis, chronic pain or cancer.
By taking a humanistic approach to therapy, she sees her clients not as flawed patients but as enormously capable individuals and families who are simply in need of support in their search for meaning and happiness. Fiona believes in "meeting clients where they are" and is recognized by her clients for her authentic empathy.
Fiona was educated in Great Britain and received her Bachelors of Arts from Manchester University in 1982 and her Masters of Social Work from the University of Stirling in 1994.
