Suzanne McDonaldLMFT

For more than 20 years Suzanne has worked to help heal children and their families. From her 10 years experience as a Waldorf school kindergarten teacher to her training in Circle of Security® parenting groups, Suzanne has been focused on child development and the importance of a secure relationship between parent and child. A clinical member of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists and a Professional member of the Association for Play Therapy and Oregon Association for Play Therapy, she has a love of working with children (as young as 2 years old) in (non-verbal) play therapy.

Suzanne also enjoys working with women of all ages: From teen girls to adult women struggling with early motherhood, middle school years, an empty nest, menopause and beyond. She considers herself to be a spiritual person who enjoys working with clients who have a spiritual or religious connection. She honors the wisdom of each person, young or old, and tries to support and enrich their abilities to walk their individual path of life.

Suzanne is both joyous and wise. She has been happily married since 1973 and has two amazing adult daughters. She loves to travel and learn about other cultures and brings joy, humor and a depth of emotion to her work.

“I work to create a safe, nurturing environment for all. I am definitely a strength-based therapist! I see myself as a collaborative guide who provides a fresh perspective of your life narrative and follows your lead in establishing goals and fostering meaningful change. ”
