Amelia Brasch


Areas of Focus

Amelia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Masters of Science in Social Work at Columbia University.

She has several years experience working with children, adolescents, and families utilizing a range of therapeutic approaches, including Child Centered Play Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic and Attachment Focused (SAFE) EMDR, and Collaborative Problem Solving.

Amelia focuses on creating a positive and collaborative relationship with her clients and being a compassionate, genuine listener. In working with children, Amelia uses play and the therapeutic relationship to provide a safe environment in which her clients can experience unconditional acceptance, and process their inner experiences and feelings. She believes in empowering families and helping them build positive attachment within their relationships. Amelia believes that in creating a safe space, her clients have the power and ability to make meaningful change.

Outside the office, Amelia enjoys hiking and camping in the Oregon wilderness, cooking, and attending Portland Timbers Soccer games.
