Areas of Focus

Michael is a graduate student in the Couples and Family Therapy program at the University of Oregon.

He is excited and grateful to work at Eugene Therapy and looks forward to seeing individuals who feel like they need extra support with their life challenges. Michael is easy-going, encouraging, and empathetic. He places special focus on whomever he is with and helps them recognize their existing strengths as well as those things which they would like to improve. Michael sees therapy as a collaborative process through which the ‘seemingly impossible to overcome’ can be broken down into what is manageable. He strives to understand each person’s context and how they affect and are affected by their relationships. Michael is a human being who cares about other human beings and recognizes that being heard is invaluable to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

When he is not engaged in school work and therapy, Michael loves to listen to music, spend time with family and friends, and practice yoga. His greatest love is learning languages and considers himself an ‘on-again, off-again polyglot.’ Michael also loves cats and German soccer.
