About Jared

Jared is a second-year graduate student in the Couples and Family Therapy Master’s program at the University of Oregon. He is excited to be working with individuals, couples, and families in the community. Jared believes that therapy plays an important role in a person’s life. He seeks to create an environment that is warm and free from judgement. He bases his work on strengths-based, humanistic theories. He believes that a person’s change comes from self-awareness, which leads to building self-compassion. Jared is a strong believer in a systemic viewpoint and that a person’s biology, psychology, sociology, and spirituality play vital parts in describing who they are.

Outside of the therapy room Jared enjoys playing and watching soccer, going on hikes with his family, and meeting and interacting with any and all animals.
