About Jennifer

Jennifer works on a 'private pay' basis, which allows you to avoid the hassle of having to use your insurance, or are uninsured and would like someone with more experience than our interns. Private pay therapists at Eugene Therapy are pre-licensed, working on clinical hours towards licensure, and have completed their Master's degree in counseling from an accredited graduate program.

Jennifer has a long history at Eugene Therapy! Jennifer started with us in 2012 as an Intake Coordinator, became a Graduate Intern as she was completing her Masters degree, and has now continued on to serve as a private pay, pre-licensed therapist. She is also active in an Intake Therapist role, which allows her to utilize her clinical lens and past experience to help clients find the right level of care. She is thrilled to be back at Eugene Therapy to serve clients on a more personal level as well.

She is a firm believer in highlighting the personal strengths of her clients, and believes that small changes can often lead to larger successes. She also believes in taking a holistic approach to therapy, examining the unique context and attributes that have influenced the lives of her clients. Jennifer knows that her clients are the experts in their own lives. She continually strives to collaborate with her clients on goals and solutions that will improve their relationships and self-image. Jennifer is a clinician that models openness and flexibility in the therapy room, but also offers tools and insight to help foster growth and progress in her clients. During her time at the University of Oregon, she attended a 10 week seminar around mindfulness practices, and also worked with clients who have communication disorders.

Outside of the therapy room, Jennifer enjoys cooking, playing board and video games with her friends, and spending quality time with her husband and kitten. She also loves rooting on the Oregon Ducks and Denver Broncos during football season!
