About Zoe

Zoe (pronounced Zoey) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adults, adolescents, couples, new parents and families. Zoe’s approach is a client-centered and strengths-based, with unconditional positive regard. She believes in the inherent ability each individual has in creating hope and healing for themselves. Zoe is a calm, focused therapist and uses directness and honesty in helping clients work through their struggles, helping clients explore ways to create balance and healthy communication. She is experienced in treating codependency, anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, PTSD and addiction, as well as hoarding behaviors and phobias.  Zoe is a trained EMDR therapist and treats complex PTSD and other trauma-related issues.

In her work as a Gottman trained therapist, Zoe works with couples facing communication problems, sexual issues, infidelity, divorce, life transitions, and grief and loss. She understands how life issues affect relationships and is skilled in helping clients learn to listen to each other and find new solutions, deepen their relationship and learn to talk about difficult subjects within the relationship. Her skills in mindfulness and body awareness assists clients in becoming aware of how their bodies inform them, and how to heal.

When she’s not hanging out with her grandkids, Zoe finds her own relaxation through creative arts, including quilting, painting, and knitting, as well as hiking, backpacking, and camping. A former dog trainer, she appreciates the complexity of communication between humans and animals.
